What does a construction mechanic in steel and metal construction do?
Construction mechanics produce large constructions made of steel and metal. The steel and metal construction specialty includes the classic activities of a construction mechanic: You assemble steel constructions according to drawings, weld steel, stainless steel and aluminum according to common methods and assemble the plant components. The maintenance as well as the repair of these constructions is also one of the tasks of construction mechanics. They evaluate technical documents, take care of quality control and documentation for the customer.

Practice:
The practical training takes place at the company in Holzgerlingen. Our company is mainly engaged in plant engineering and protective fencing.

Your work locations at a glance:
– Workshop/workshop
– On site at the customer (e.g. during assembly)
– Building sites

Theory:
You will receive the theoretical background for the training at the vocational school.

Start of training: 01.09.2023 – Duration: 3.5 years
You bring with you:

good secondary school diploma, preferably also Mittlere Reife (intermediate school leaving certificate)
Craftsmanship,
technical understanding,
spatial imagination
reasonably physical fitness
An internship in advance is desired.
